Day 4 of 40 Days of A New Life!!!!

Greetings Sistahs,
Sorry, I did not get to post yesterday as I was on the road. This process of juicing takes some preparation when you have to leave your home but its all good! I feel so supported from the Universe in this process. I also feel so supported from my Sistah readers who cheer me on- thank you!!!!

The affirmation for yesterday...
4. Through my consciousness of my God-Self, the God/Goddess within, as my Source, I draw into my mind and feeling nature the very substance of Spirit. This substance is my supply, thus my consciousness of the Presence of God within me is my supply.

When we are aware of our ONENESS with SPIRIT and all its Creation we are in that flow of powerful abundance! Think of the practices or the things you do to feel the flow of God...Meditation is an GREAT tool for calming the mind and connecting with Spirit. There are hundreds of techniques and practices. You can learn for free at many retreat centers.

Also, many people of many faiths practice meditation - you are not require to be a Buddhist to learn nor will there be any recruiting...

Day 3 of 40 days of TRANSFORMATION!!!

It's beautiful! Day 3, I feel good and on purpose. I felt more energy today so I got my son out of the house and we went to the water. I drew my Vision Cards and he did some homework. Today was just so sunny and bright! Folks were out bike riding, running and sitting on the grass chatting.

Beauty Tip:

This morning I decided to do a face mask before getting into the shower. There is this lovely Indian Aztec Clay that I mix with organic apple cider vinegar. This mask takes off all the blackheads and leaves the skin feeling pure. You can mix it with water but the apple cider vinegar give your skin a nice tingle. I usually buy mine at Whole Foods or any natural food store.



The affirmation for today is:

3. I am conscious of the Inner Presence as my lavish Abundance. I am conscious of the constant activity of this Mind of infinite Prosperity. Therefore, my consciousness is filled with the Light of Truth.

Sistahood and Day 2 of 40 days

Sistahood! Sistahood! Sistahood! I am feeling that mantra because I realize that when some powerful work needs to be done - you go to your Sistahs! I do not idealize Sistahood - there are some Sistahs I will resonate with and others not as well. I tend to give many wombyn the benefit of the doubt just cause I think we are all Powerful SistahGoddesses in our unique ways!!!

I think much of our healing work has to be done on an individual level but at some point we have to begin to do healing work with others. No wombyn is an island - you need support and love around you. I have learned a lot over the years about friendship - some people you know for a season, some people you know for a reason and others will be friends for an eternity.

I just finished a call with a Circle of Sistahs who do divine work around prosperity and creating an abundance consciousness. We meet each week and participate in a process that helps us achieve our financial and Spiritual goals. When I leave this call each week I feel energized. Being with Sistahs can provide balance and affirmation to your life. We share, we laugh, we hear our stories and we heal from this process.

If you don't have a Circle of Sistahs to connect with, then create your own. You can meet around a Spiritual practice, do art together, cook, focus on health, books or prosperity - there is an abundance of ways to connect with others.


Day 2 of my 40 Day Portrait of Intimate Change

I am still in the process and feeling good. I did some drawing last night and just rested most of the day today. My body is detoxing and I can feel myself slowing down and grounding in a good way. I am drinking fresh juices, taking some vegetable broth and drinking lots of water. I find that baths are helpful too.

My affirmation for today:

2. I lift up my mind and heart to be aware, to understand, and to know that the Divine Presence I AM is the Source and Substance of all my good.

What I learn from this affirmation is that when we work on ourselves and achieve a sense of balance with the Universe then we are in that Divine Presence. When you have that awareness within and without then it IS the substance and source of your greatest good. You are a magnet for success when you are ONE with this Source we call the Creator.

Happy New Year!!! 2010

Yesterday was so busy for me I looked up and it was midnight and time to bring in the New Year! Mercury is in Retrograde so it is not a time to start new ventures but it is a perfect time to complete those things that need to be completed. I had some unfinished business yesterday that I decided to complete before the New Year. Wow, it felt good to just get it done and now I am relaxed in my new day of the New Year.

This morning I began my 40-day process...I woke up and journaled my "Morning Pages" which is a concept in the book The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity. You simply do a brain dump and write down all your thoughts - no punctuation, or editing just your morning dump of thoughts - the good, the bad, the ugly. I found these beautiful deep purple faux snakeskin journals at Target by noted. They also came in a nice red color too. This journal will serve as my 40 day Intimate Portrait of Change Journal.


After the morning pages, I sat in meditation for 1 hour. I learned meditation from S.N. Goenka- a practice called Vipassana. I did anapanasati where I just sat quietly in a comfortable position and observed the air (breathe)coming out of the tip of my nostril around the upper lip area. This practice helps your mind to focus. Thoughts will come and go (well be sure to let them go...) This morning it seemed like the hour went quickly. I felt more grounded and at peace.

From meditation I decided I would include the 40 Day Prosperity Plan featured in the The Abundance Book in this process. So, I wrote in my journal the first affirmation, then I said it aloud about three times and then I sat in meditative thought about the true meaning of that affirmation...The affirmation was:

God is lavish, unfailing Abundance, the rich omnipresent substance of the Universe. This all providing Source of infinite prosperity is individualized as me — the Reality of me.

I held a cluster of amethyst I recently got on my travels and contemplated the meaning of this affirmation...I came to me that God the Creator, has made a world so abundant - trees with fruits, soil that grows, birds that fly, air we breathe, blood that supplies nutrients to all parts of our body, the warmth of the sun, the water of the ocean, a womb for babies to grow, and so much more I can't even cover YET many of us believe in a "reality" of lack. We believe in a world created by men not the God/Goddess. If your World View is man-made then it will be difficult to access your Prosperous God Given Divinity. You will always see change happening as a result of some outside event that you have no control over. You give your power away...It is a common thing to do - I do it but a practice and process that includes a true understanding of Spirit and its role in my life REMINDS me each time to COME BACK...SIT STILL...HEAR...LISTEN

So, today I plan to spend some time creating and enjoying my peaceful household with my son. I thought of creating a vision board but I think I will work on some 40 day Vision Cards...I found some card stock, paint and stuff...

Preparation for A Powerful Year!

As the year comes to a close I always ask myself what are the lessons I have learned? What is it that I accomplished? How were my prayers answered? What am I grateful for? Its good to just take stock and be thankful.

Today, I continue to think of ways that I can achieve my goals and create balance in my life. I know this year I want to focus on relationships. I saw this year where I needed to make changes and now I am ready to cultivate new relationships. I sense there are many kindred Spirits who are also looking for connects that are healthy, uplifting and peaceful.

Life is alchemy and so I want to put myself in the best position to benefit from the powerfulness of the Universe. I have decided to embark on a "40 Day Intimate Portrait of Change". I will consist of fasting, prayer, meditation, creativity, journaling and manifestation. I was researching the significance of the number 40 this morning and found that it a number of tests, trials, meditation, reflection and chastisement. Often one is on a "hero's journey" or I will call it a "Goddess' Journey" to find victory or to achieve a goal. The result of stories with the significant number 40 is victory, resurrection, reconstruction, renewal and transformation. So, with all that in mind I have decided that this 40 day Intimate Portrait of Change will be my journey to a new expanded way of living in complete abundance! Exciting!

I will record my progress on this blog...I will share some of my practices and processes. I begin on New Year's Day! Showing Up To Life...

I think most the problems we encounter as humans on this planet would be solved if we got over FEAR...It seems like fear just drives people to do the most insane and unloving things and all that just causes a lot of hurt and suffering.

I can tell the times in my life where I was fearful because I am cleaning up the mess today from those fearful decisions. I can sit here and blame stuff on a whole bunch of "no-good whatmacallits" but in the end I have to be responsible. Often I would run from problems and just allow them to "solve themselves" but problems can be like little children - if someone does not guide them then Lord only knows what you gonna get AND you know who gets blamed "the Mama of the problems".

You know Sistahs today demonstrated to me that it is never too late to solve a problem or to change a situation. If you don't like something then SHOW UP and change it! Once you show up you will see the doors of the Universe just open wide in response. The sad secret is that no one is going to more motivated to fix your life than you - I don't care how much you pay them, how often you kiss them or how hard to work for them. It does not mean that people don't like to help but the MOTIVATION to CHANGE YOUR LIFE is ALL YOU!

Do you know back in the day when someone said "Go to hell!" folks would get scared cause words are power. If you are tired of being broken down, puttin' out this fire and that fire, robbing "Peter to pay Paul" then curse the drama to hell where it belongs cause it is causing you to live hell on this earth. I am not a woman that thinks there is honor is suffering -bump that! Life is for VICTORY and if you are not in an environment where the victorious can live free then you know what to do!

Today, my Ancestors told me to SHOW UP! Take action! I did and I see a way now that I never saw...

Lunar Calendar Gift!

Greetings Sistahs,

I wanted to turn you all on to a lunar calendar that I been ordering for some years now from a wombyn at Snake&Snake Productions. I have mentioned in past posts that a Sistah's cycle is partnered with the moon. I remember reading somewhere that if your cycle is healthy it will follow the phases of the moon...from the waxing to full to waning. I also believe that early notions of times and dates where informed by women's cycles.

There is definitely more to learn on our lunar connection and more is to come... I currently find this calendar useful for plotting dates of my cycle - you can color in the moon for that important date. You can also just note the days that you feel powerful, a little low or just as happy as can be! Use it as YOUR TOOL!

The sizes vary that are available. the 8.5 X 11 could work for sticking in your journal or I got the 11 X 14 for placing on my altar. The price is very reasonable and I always get mine quickly.
