I LOVE the Goddess!!! I am so happy to have her hand upon my head - blessing and guiding me in all her forms!

Last night, I stayed up fixing me some LIVE-ALIVE Food in my dehydrator. I made living corn chips, living spicy flax seed bread and kale chips. My teenage son was complaining about me going raw again but who was peeking in the dehydrator as the smell of goodness came through the apartment? Who was up this morning helping me take pictures of my Living Food Masterpieces and eating the samples?? LOL!!! Yes, kids will complain a bit about eating healthy but they can't resist the energy pull of this yummy food and powerful food. I raised my son vegan from a baby and because he had other family members that were not vegan I just let him decide but I know those first few years of fresh, healthy food as made an imprint on his consciousness - he can eat fast food and at the same time go to a vegan restaurant with you and chow down...Healthy foods are not foreign to him - he even made me fresh juice while I was fasting.

I don't have a great camera at the moment but I wanted to share the pictures of the food I made last night and some recipes.

"Live foods are plant-foods that have not been heated, cooked, processed, or refined in any way. Live foods (or raw foods) include uncooked, organic vegetables and fruits, raw nuts and seeds, and sprouted grains and seeds of all kinds (alfalfa, sunflower, lentil, etc).

Instead of being cooked, they are eaten whole or are merely chopped, diced, shredded, juiced, or blended. These foods are loaded with nutrients and healing properties and should ideally comprise about 70% if not 100% of your diet.

Live, raw foods have a high degree of life force or energy . Life force, also known as prana (in India ), or chi (in China ), is the most basic and primary nutrient on which our bodies thrive. The substances that increase our life force energy, include oxygen, sunlight, and live foods. You can actually see the life force energy of a particular food through a technology called Kirlian Photography. You can see from the pictures that a fresh, raw food has a large life force field, yet when cooked, the life force field is diminished.

When you consume uncooked, unprocessed Raw Food in its pure state you are benefiting from all of that particular food nutrients possible because of several factors. Raw Food contains things called “Enzymes”. These Enzymes are simply chemical reactions that help digest our food. When food is cooked above 116 degrees Fahrenheit these enzymes begin to break down.
When enzymes are exposed to heat their functions becomes impaired and eventually destroyed. When all enzymes are destroyed food becomes lifeless."

Everyday we are exposed to disease but if our bodies have a powerful immune system we can fight off the offending badness. Humans as well as animals eat to serve a function of getting life force to empower our bodies -however, dead food can not give you the same nutrients that live food can give you. Eating 100% live food is possible, I did it 1.5 years and there are other people that have been doing it for years. My problem was finding my own personal balance. The protocols for the diet are still being perfected. I recommend finding a balance that works for you. Watch for sugar - yes, raw foods have hidden sugars too such as dried fruit. Living food is very beneficial.

I use to keep the company of very dogmatic folks that only advocated raw food but I believe living food is more of a lifestyle - one that requires preparation and commitment. Not everyone will be able to do commit to it a 100% way of life but even at 30%, 50% or 75% you are going to feel a difference. I do believe that if you are struggling with a terminal illness or severe obesity that you should consider this lifestyle to boost your immune system and possibly save your life. Google "raw food" or "living food" there are hundreds of people with great success stories and yummy recipes.

Right now living foods is a part of my 40 day Portrait of Intimate Change. I can share with you what I know - email me anytime at sistahgoddess@gmail.com or make a comment and I will get back to you.

Preparation for dehydrated living foods:
The current belief if that you should not cook your food above 115 degrees. The best way to ensure this is to use a dehydrator that has temperature controls. I have a Excalibur 9 Tray Food Dehydrator which is good for 2 to 8 people household. You can also get a smaller Excalibur 5 Tray Dehydrator which is good for 1 to 2 people, although you may want to dehydrate more than less - this way of eating require a lot of food prep. You can get cheaper dehydrators but you may sacrifice the non stick sheets, ability to remove trays to make room and temperature control. If budget is an issue, then you can use your oven set at the lowest temperature (warm is about 120 degrees) and leave the door of the oven slightly open.

Another piece of equipment you will need is a good strong blender. If you want to make a good investment then I recommend the Vita-Mix Blender or K-Tec Champ Blender which will cost you about $300 or more. For now I have a Black & Decker Cyclone 18-Speed Digital Blender with 48-Ounce Glass Jar that works just fine.

A food processor is also very necessary. I got a Hamilton Beach 6-Cup Food Processor yesterday. There are larger ones for bigger households. You need this to combine ingredients that are more coarse or sticky.

Lastly, a good sharp knife will save you lots of time. You are going to be "cooking" in a whole new way so a good knife saves you lots of time and makes chopping more pleasant. My son convinced me to get this Wusthof Gourmet Carving and Slicing Knife It was the best investment!

In terms of food staples, it is good to have a variety of fresh spices include cayenne, sea salt, tamari or the raw equivalent of nomo shoyu. The following items can always be used to whip up a great live food meal:
flax seed
raw sunflower seed
raw almonds
raw cashews
raw macademia nuts
raw pecans
raw walnuts
tahini
cold pressed olive oil
garlic
tomatoes
onion
lettuce
kale
chard
carrots
cabbage
all other kinds of veggies
all other kinds of fruit

This is just scratching the surface of raw living foods info. I will have to continue to share info as the days go by...

Spicy Flaxseed Bread

1 cup of golden flaxseed (whole or milled)
1/2 onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 red or yellow bell pepper
1 tsp sea salt (I used a little more)
quarter of avocado
dash of cayenne
add any other spices you like

Place all the ingredients into the food processor and blend really well. The flax seed will remain whole if you did not mill them or blend them in a blender. If you want to do smooth flat tortilla-like bread then mill the flax seed. Dehydrate on 115 degrees in a dehydrator for about 6 to 8 hours depending on the thickness. About half way through - score the bread into sizes you desire (see my pic). If you do these at night you will wake up to some yummy bread to take to lunch. Top with hummus, tomatoes, red onion, red cabbage, spring mix and olives.

Living Corn Chips

This recipe I took some liberties with...I used frozen organic corn from whole foods. When corn is in season, use a few stalks and shave the kernels off the cob.

1 16oz bag of frozen organic corn
1 cup of flaxseed (ground)
1/2 yellow onion
1/2 red or yellow bell pepper
dash of cayenne
a few dashes of sea salt or 2 tsp of sole

Blend your flax seed into a fine "flour" in a blender and set aside. In a food processor blend corn, onion, pepper, and spices. Add ground flax seed. Taste the batter to see if you need more spices. Spread the batter on a texflex sheet on your dehydrator try or spread on a baking paper an place on a cookie sheet (for oven).
Dehydrate at 115 degrees for 8 hours on one side. Flip over, score into triangles and take off teflex sheet and dehydrate until dry. Great with homemade salsa, hummus or nut cheeze.

Kale Chips

1 to 2 bunches of kale
olive oil (cold press)
cayenne
optional Japanese cooking wine Mirin

Wash the kale and take off of the stem. Place kale in a large bowl and drizzle some olive oil on top. Sprinkle in Mirin and Cayenne. With hands massage in the oil, mirin and spices so that every leaf is coated with oil and spices.

Dehydrate for 6 to 8 hours (maybe less) at 115 degrees. Kale will be crispy like a chip but much more nutritious.

Day 10 of 40 Day Prosperity Plan
There are a total of 10 Affirmations for the 40 day prosperity plan. After today you will go back to affirmation 1 and start the affirmations over again. The affirmation for today:
10. I keep my mind and thoughts off "this world" and I place my entire focus on God within as the only Cause of my prosperity. I acknowledge the Inner Presence as the only activity in my financial affairs, as the substance of all things visible. I place my faith in the Principle of Abundance in action within me.

Peace Sis,

Give Thanks for the admiration of the work but would you please reduce the size of the image by atleast half and give my website (www.yeslioness.com) the credit above & below it.

Reason:
When people see it out of context, they will just steal it without even knowing where it came from & that it is copywritten art,for sale.

Give Thanks in Advance!
